William Byron, driver of the #9 Liberty University Toyota, running for Kyle Busch Motorsports has been having a great 2016. Come to think of it, 2015 wasn’t bad for the eighteen-year-old driver either; he won the 2015 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Championship.

Friday’s Camping World Series Truck Race found William holding off veteran Matt Crafton for the win in the Rattlesnake 400. It is his second 2016 win in a mere eight starts.

Additionally, Byron is the youngest Truck Series winner at Texas and the second-youngest overall, a record held by Chase Elliott in the NASCAR XFINITY Series in 2014.

"It's huge for our race team to get another win this year," said Byron, a resident of Charlotte, North Carolina. "We didn't leave any doubt out there that we deserved to win. It was cool to lead when it counted; to finally finish out there gives me a bit of confidence. I learned a lot about running the top."

William Byron sits third in the Camping World Truck Series Standings, twenty-three points behind leader Matt Crafton.
